In Kileleshwa, Nairobi County, our client David resides in an affluent and rapidly developing neighborhood that has recently experienced a surge in high-rise, multi-storey apartment developments. As a result, frequent KPLC shutdowns for transformer commissioning and maintenance have become increasingly common in the area, leading to repeated power interruptions.
These outages significantly affected David’s work-from-home operations as well as the comfort and convenience of his family. Seeking a dependable and long-term solution, he approached ALKIM Green Galaxy Limited to design a solar system that would ensure uninterrupted power supply regardless of grid availability.
After a detailed assessment of his energy needs, we designed and installed a 12kW hybrid solar system, supported by a 15kWh lithium battery energy storage system (BESS) and 12 high-efficiency 590W solar panels.
