In Kitui County, our client Freddie required a high-capacity and reliable solar water pumping system to support both irrigation farming and domestic water supply. Given the area’s hot climate and abundant sunlight, solar water pumping was the most efficient and sustainable solution to ensure year-round access to water without the recurring fuel or electricity costs associated with traditional pumping methods.
After assessing the water demand and pump specifications, ALKIM Green Galaxy Limited designed and implemented a 22.8kWp solar pumping solution powered by a robust 18kW solar pumping inverter. The system delivers strong, consistent pumping performance with zero operational fuel costs.

Project Summary

We proposed a fully solar-powered pumping solution utilizing 39 high-wattage solar panels combined with an 18kW pump inverter to ensure strong water flow throughout the day. The system was designed to maximize production even under the high temperatures typical of Kitui.
The installation supports high water yields, enabling the client to irrigate crops efficiently while also supplying steady water for domestic use.
